How LittleWonder makes a story starring your child, what it costs in US dollars, and how a parent’s voice can read it.
These answers use the same prices as the Pricing page. Amounts are in US dollars.
LittleWonder is a website where a parent makes a storybook starring their child. You start with one photo. A parent’s voice can read the whole story, including the narration and the hero’s lines. You choose a published story from the catalog. You do not write the plot or draw the pictures.
Yes. Visitors can watch the sample story for free, with no account, by clicking Watch a free sample on the sample story banner on the home page. Creating your own story needs a story credit.
An adult does. LittleWonder is for parents and authorized caregivers. A child does not create the account, and LittleWonder does not collect the child’s voice.
Pick a story on the home page and click Watch a free sample on the sample story banner if you want to hear one first. Sign up, then on one screen choose the hero, the name for this story, English or Korean, one photo, and the voice that reads it. Starting the story uses one story credit. A new story usually takes about 10 minutes. LittleWonder emails you when it is ready, and you play it in the app.
One bright, front-facing photo of your child is enough. A natural close-up of the face helps the illustrated face look more like your child. Each child has one profile photo. LittleWonder strips EXIF and GPS data from the photo before storing it. The privacy policy describes how photos are used.
The name you enter for that story. An English story accepts a Latin-script name. A Korean story accepts a Hangul name. LittleWonder does not ask for a family name.
No. You choose a published story. LittleWonder personalizes it with your child’s name and photo, and with the voice you pick.
Usually about 10 minutes, sometimes a little longer. We'll email you as soon as it's ready.
Yes. Every paid product can use one parent’s voice for the whole story, both the narration and the hero’s lines. You record that voice in the app. The recording must be at least 10 seconds, and the recorder stops at 30 seconds. LittleWonder does not record the child’s voice. If you skip the recording, a LittleWonder voice reads the story.
Recording a new parent voice, or switching a finished story from the LittleWonder voice to your own voice, needs an unused story credit or an active subscription. That credit is not used up by the recording. A new version that keeps the same child and the same pictures, and only changes the language or an already saved voice, uses no story credit and usually takes 2–3 minutes.
The website is available in English and Korean today. English has no language prefix in the address, and Korean is at /ko. More languages are planned. For a story, you choose English or Korean on the preparation screen. The site language and the story language are separate. A child in Korea can hear the story in English, and a child abroad can hear it in Korean.
Yes. For each story you choose English or Korean. A child in Korea can hear the story in English, and a child abroad, for example in the US, can hear the story in Korean. Hearing stories this way can help a child get naturally familiar with the other language. LittleWonder does not guarantee a learning outcome.
Yes. LittleWonder has stories suitable for bedtime.
Prices are in US dollars and match the Pricing page. The sample story is free from the home page banner: click Watch a free sample. One Wonder is $29 for one Story Pass: one story that does not expire. Monthly Wonder is $19.99 per month. Yearly Wonder is $199 per year, about $16.58 per month, and saves $40.88 compared with paying monthly for a year. Both subscriptions include one new story each month, and an unused monthly story credit does not roll over. Wonder Family Extra Story is $15.99 for one more Story Pass that does not expire, and only an active subscriber can buy it. Moving Wonder is $5 and adds short video to one story. Saving a finished story as an MP4 is $1, and downloading that file again is free. Product names stay in English on every language of the site.
No. A new account starts with no story credit, so signing up does not include a free story. Visitors can still watch the sample story for free by clicking Watch a free sample on the sample story banner on the home page.
No. Monthly and yearly subscriptions both provide one story each month. An unused monthly story credit expires at the end of that monthly period. Story Passes you buy with One Wonder or Wonder Family Extra Story never expire.
You can cancel anytime and keep every finished story. Ending a subscription removes the unused monthly story credit. A Story Pass you already bought stays. Right now, switching an active Monthly Wonder subscription directly to Yearly Wonder, or the other way around, is not offered. To change the billing period, end the current subscription and then start the other plan.
A new version with the same child and pictures, in another language or voice. We keep the pictures and remake only the text and narration, which usually takes 2–3 minutes and uses no story credit. Switching a story from the LittleWonder voice to your own voice, or recording a new voice, needs an unused story credit (it isn't used up) or an active subscription. Changing the child or photo makes a new story that uses 1 story credit, and adding scene videos needs a Moving Wonder.
Moving Wonder is $5. It turns pages of one story into short video. One purchase covers that story’s motion pages, not a single page. You can add it while creating the story, or later from Wonder Library when that story supports motion. Without it, the story still plays as an illustrated book with narration. Not every story has motion.
From a finished story you can buy one MP4 for $1. It includes the pictures, narration, music, sound effects, and subtitles, as in the app. Making it usually takes about 10 minutes, and LittleWonder emails you when it is ready. Downloading that file again is free. This is separate from Moving Wonder, and it is purchased from the finished story rather than from the Pricing page.
You can upload a photo of your own dog for a story. That photo is used for that story. More pet stories are planned.
Some catalog stories are for grown-ups. Those use your own photo as the hero, not a child’s photo. Stories for children still use the child’s photo.
The photo illustrates your child as the hero, and the name is spoken and shown in the story. LittleWonder does not collect the child’s voice. LittleWonder does not use child photos or names for advertising or to train LittleWonder models, and it does not sell that information. Sharing a finished story stays off until you create a private link. The privacy policy explains the rest.
The Pricing page shows the current products. When your account has Stripe subscription history, Settings, then Subscription & Billing, opens the Stripe portal for cancellation, the payment method, and unpaid invoices. Right now, that portal does not switch a subscription between Monthly Wonder and Yearly Wonder. Payments are in US dollars.
